BIOGRAPHY
Ben gained a first class BA Honours degree at the Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM) in Guildford. He studied under Brian Henry (Soul II Soul, José Feliciano, Gabrielle), Toby Drummond (West End – Wicked, We Will Rock You, Billy Elliot), Tim Hawes (Ivor Novello winning songwriter), Mark Taylor (Elton John, Belinda Carlisle) and Sandy Beales (One Direction, JP Cooper). Ben has recorded with John Gallen (Queen, Simply Red, Boy George) and Chrissy Tignor (Bastille, Professor at Berklee College of Music).
Ben has vast experience as a Musical Director and musician, having worked on over 65 Musical Theatre shows in England and France over the last 10 years. Performances have included venues such as the Shaftesbury Theatre (West End), Riverside Studios (Hammersmith), Dome Theatre (Brighton), Royal Hippodrome Theatre (Eastbourne), Electric Theatre (Guildford), Théâtre National de Nice and Arundel Cathedral. Ben has also performed in several professional function bands and tribute acts over the last 25 years. Ben is a proficient multi-instrumentalist, specialising in drums and percussion (including Latin, tuned and orchestral), piano, keyboards and guitar. He has taught Music and Drama in two Prep Schools, has been teaching for 10 years and has experience conducting choirs and orchestras.

Ben is an accomplished composer and arranger, adept at Music Technology (particularly Sibelius, Mainstage and Logic). He regularly arranges songs and creates backing tracks for performing arts organisations across the UK and has published a book of arrangements for children on Amazon. Ben has written two Christmas musicals for children which have been performed publicly. In 2011, Ben composed and produced a full book musical called “This Too, Shall Pass”, which was very well received following its run at the Electric Theatre in Guildford and starred
Nick Corre (Wicked, Dog Fight, Les Misérables, Book of Mormon).
